PRODUCTION ENSEMBLES

Shows are not cast until November - students can still join after casting for ensemble roles.

Our programs are developed on a once a week format so our students can participate without conflicting with their busy schedules. The students attend rehearsals/classes in each area of study: MUSIC, DANCE and ACTING. Casting begins in late October when our production staff has the chance to see the students' capabilities. Everyone gets a role as either a lead, supporting or ensemble member, which is a reflection of each individual's abilities and helps them further develop his/her own style. Their strongest achievement will be their performance in a full-scale Broadway style show at the end of the season, which is accomplished through invigorating work and strong dedication.

SHOW: Disney’s Alice In Wonderland      Grades 4 – 7              Mondays 5:30 – 8:30 p.m.

Techniques taught are a combination of traditional and innovative theatre. A strong emphasis is placed on character development, vocal training, dance techniques, as used in musical theatre, and an overall enthusiastic approach to theatre study.

SHOW:  Anything Goes                                   Grades 8 & up                           Tuesdays 6-9 p.m.

The show is used as a vehicle to teach techniques that are more intriguing and challenging for their age group.  These techniques include the following: characters and their connection to emotions, needs and relationships, and how singing has an emotional connection to the character.  Techniques to develop abilities and understandings in musical theatre dance are also emphasized.

TAP CLASS          WEDNESDAYS   8pm – 9pm         for all those interested or required to tap in the production.
